Any screen, any Windows
The client runs on Windows XP through 11 and needs no administrator rights. On the first start it opens Setup, where you pick a resolution from your monitor's real modes, windowed or full screen, sound and graphics. Wide and 4K screens are handled by Setup automatically (it switches on the built-in dgVoodoo wrapper for anything wider than 2048 pixels), so no extra packages are needed. Setup speaks English or Russian depending on your Windows.

How to Get Started
- Create your account — register here.
- Download the installer from this page and check the MD5 — a download that broke halfway looks exactly like a broken game.
- Run the installer and pick a folder with plain Latin letters in its path (for example
C:\Games\AvalonRO 2008). - Setup opens right after installing: pick your screen resolution (you can open it again any time from the launcher or the Start menu).
- Start the game with the AvalonRO 2008 shortcut: the launcher downloads the latest patches and starts the client.
- Log in with your account and play.
